Question
We have a one year old ebd and recently he has got some bumps on his body.....there are tiny tufts of hair he is losing from those areas and they appear like white patches....we stay in Seychelles and bought this pup when he was eight months old.the vets are not used to bulldogs and though they prescribe some antibiotics and shampoos his condition has not improved. Can you suggest what these spots might be due to and a treatment for the same?  Will be happy to furnish any additionals if required.
We bathe him once a month with amitix.
Regards,
Barnali

Answer
This does sound like a bcaterial infection on the skin.  I would need to know which antibiotics you have used and for how long.  If the vet can't treat it, they can take a skin biopsy to see if it is something besides a bacterial skin infection, like allergies, fungi, autoimmune diseases, etc.
