Ask the Veterinarian/puppy breath

Question
We have a cocker spaniel puppy who is 10 weeks old.  His breath smells metallic.  Could this be serious?

Answer
Kathy -

The way  his breath smells is usually a result of his overall health and the food he eats.
Have your puppy checked by a veterinarian when he goes to get his series of puppy vaccines.   He should also be checked for intestinal parasites at that time.   Ask your veterinarian to smell his breath  during the examination.  He/she can determine if there is reason for concern.
