Question
Hi,
I have a 4 year old Viszla.  I've noticed for a couple of months now that he a
small raised black spot of the rim of his lower eyelid.  Do you know what that
could be? Thanks for your help.

Answer
There are a few tumors and cysts that can show up on the eyelids.  Have your vet look at it.  I have a laser and I can remove these very easily. If eyelid tumors get too big, surgery can disfigure the eyelid, causing problems for the dog.  SO it is best to deal with these growths very early while they are still small.
