Question
My dog is 2 yrs old and licks a stray cat that was born on my patio and is also 2 yrs old.  The cat has a wound on top of his head near his ear and the dog licks it.  I am not sure I can transport the cat to the vet, it is feral.  It allows me to pet him, but to get him in a carrier or car hmmmm.  I want to help him and keep my dog safe.  They are best of friends.  They sleep together and lick each other a lot.  Can you advise me how to help this cat and keep my dog safe at the same time?  Thank you.

Is it possible for a mobile veterinarian to make house calls to see your cat?

In most states, it is against the law for the vet to prescribe meds without first examining the pet.  Therefore, it is necessary for a vet to examine the cat and then prescribe antibiotics to help clear the infection.
