Question
I have a 8yo mixed (blue tic) that has had chronic nasal discharge for over a year.  It came on suddenly and seems to get worse around spring and fall (allergy seasons) she is an indoor pet, and like to go outdoors a few times a day.  No signs of a blockage at last visit, currently not on any meds, and it gets worse in the evenings. The discharge is clear/yellow and stringy. bilateral and other than being gross, it only seems to minimally affect her sleeping at night.     Any general advice that might help us help her?

Answer
Scott -

There are a number of reasons why your dog might have a nasal discharge - she may have a foreign body in her nose or she may have a bacterial or fungal infection.  Unfortunately, I cannot diagnose what is wrong with your dog without a physical exam.  Your veterinarian can better diagnose your problem after a physical exam and possibly radiographs of the nose.
