Ask the Veterinarian/Watery Eyes

Question
Our one and a half year old half Shiba Inu half mini American Eskimo's left eye has been "tearing" more than usual lately and she has been scratching her face as well, but the tear color isn't anything unusual than before. She has also developed a slight cut from scratching so hard on the underside of her muzzle and also on the inside of her right ear.

Just wondering if this could be allergies of some sort?

Answer
Kylie -

Certainly, she could have allergies, but that should be determined by a veterinarian.  There are many other conditions that could cause her to scratch at her eyes and that could cause her eyes to tear.
