Question
Can a black cat have Siamese kittens?  We found a dead Siamese kitten under the shed and one alive.  A black cat was just following me around when I picked up the kitten.  Could it be hers?  We also have a Siamese cat. I am not sure whose it is.  How do I approach this problem?  I put the kitten down and the black cat starting licking it, but I had to put it way under the house so she could nurture it.  Should I just remove it and handfeed it or wait?  The cat is a feral.

Answer
Esther -

I am sure that cat appreciated you taking care of her baby while she was away looking for food.  Yes, a black cat can give birth to a Siamese looking cat.

It doesn't sound as though the cat is really feral - most feral cats are really wary of people and do not like being around them. If she was truly feral she would  most likely have not lingered around after seeing you unless you are feeding her colony.

If she is licking the kitty and is happy with it, let her have it; it's probably her kitty anyway.
