Question
This is not a disease. I would like to know what to do ? This is the first time I had a indoor cat and she in heat. Do you know how long this meowing and trying to get out the door will last? What is this odor in the air? HELP!!

Answer
Cats cycle just like women every 28 days during the early part of the year. The rest of the year they are quiet. This is called being seasonally polyestrus.

Cats really don't give off any odor when they are in heat. I don't know what the odor could be.

You can solve this problem by having her spayed.
