Question
Hi, I have a female dog 10 mths old in heat.  Her coat looks awful is this a symptom or should I be concerned.  She's still pretty active but not eating alot.  Or could it just be the hot weather?

Answer
Christine -

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what is wrong with your dog without the benefit of a physical exam.

If the weather is too warm, please provide her with shade  and fresh water at all times.  It is not unusual for dogs to perish in extremely warm weather without shade and water.

Your veterinarian can better tell you what is bothering your dog - have her examined at soon as possible.
