Question
This morning when I went out with our dogs, I noticed that our little Redbone Hound's tail was dropped down and just kind of hanging there, he wouldn't even wag it when he came to me....it's been that way all day, he seems a little touchy, when I tried to lift it. No cuts, and it may be a little swollen?..He's about a year old.

Answer
Suzanne -

You should have your dog examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible.  Perhaps he was playing with the other dog and the tail was injured - there are many reasons why your dog's tail is not wagging. Your veterinarian can help you determine why your pup appears to be uncomfortable.
