Question
My dog is a three year old golden retriever.Shes constantly scratching her ears.when we take her into the vet she has ear mites.besides cleaning her ears constantly what else can i do?

Thanks,
Lacy

Answer
There are two great topical ear mite medications I use, Accarex and Milbemite.  I also give Ivermectin as a shot to treat any mites that may be on the skin. In addition, you have to treat every dog or cat that this dog has contact with. If there is some other type of bacterial or yeast infection in the ears as well, that needs treatment.
