Question
I took my dog on a hike in the woods and started finding ticks on his fur. I got about 10 off but by the time I got home I had to pick about 6 out that had burried in. I washed him in tick shampoo but am afreaid I might have missed some that buried in. Does the tick shampoo kill ticks that have already burried in my dogs skin?

Answer
MOst tick shampoos will kill ticks.  If you are worried, then go to your vet and get something like Frontline plus or Advantage Multi.  If you can find a vet that sells a PREVENTIC collar, put that on.  That will help get rid of any ticks that may still be alive.
