Question
I need to talk to a vet that crops doberman ears
Mine was cropped, he is 7.5 months old. His rigt ear stands perfect but his left droops half way up. I keep taping but it either droops or the whole ear straightens so bad it flattens to his head. His ears couldn't be taped for 2 weeks from infection and I'm afraid it messed it up. Can it be fixed if I keep taping???

Answer
By 7 1/2 months, the cartilage has probably hardened in a folded position.  There is a technique where a suture is placed from the middle of the head under the skin to the fold and then back to the middle of the head.  That will keep the ear up, but the dog won't have much control of it.
