Hi. i am doing a reseach report on verternarians, and i would like to know what are a veternarians usual vacation hours? the more information the better.

Answer
As with most employees in the United States most get between 1-3 weeks of vacation. In Europe people get 4-6 weeks of vacation.

Veterinarians who own their own practice sometimes take longer vacations and sometimes take no time off.  If they set up their clinic with an office manager and have either relief veterinarians or staff veterinarians they may take 2-6 weeks of vacation. If they are trying to run the clinic themselves they will take no more than a day here and there.

I suggest you contact 100 veterinarians and ask a different question - "How many vacation days do you take a year? How long a stretch at one time can you take?'"

I graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and began using homeopathy in my practice after a client introduced me to it. By 1988 I was using exclusively holistic treatments. I began lecturing in 1987 and have spoken at veterinary conferences, health food stores, people's homes, churches, veterinary college conferences - anywhere people want to learn more about keeping their animals healthy.
