Question
My young son had beef and chicken fajitas (guacamole) breans, rice, tortillas and coke for dinner last night. Some time in the night he got sickn had diarrhea and didn't quite make it to the toilet.  Our Yorkies, she is 22 months old and weighs 8# ate some of it before I could clean it up. I'm concerned and worried she too will get sick from this occurrence. Please help quickly. I love my pet and, DO NOT want anything to happen to her.
I appreciate your expedient assistance in this very delicate matter.
Thank you. Worried Pet Owner.

Answer
I understand your concern. The worst she might get is some diarrhea of her own. She just smelled food and that is why she ate it. Just keep an eye on her stool and her own eating. If she stops eating and seems ill, then call the vet. He can give her some antibiotics for any bacterial problem that might arise from this.

Otherwise, she should be fine. Dogs will be dogs!
