Question
I have a silky terrier, he is fixed and is 9 years old. Starting last night, he looks like he's jumping out of his skin. He's very antsy, can't sit still, doesn't want to play or anything. His eyes look like they are about to pop out of his head. he keeps running in circles. not the same direction either. I'm wanting to know what is going on with him. I worked as a vet tech for a few years, and I have no idea what it is. thank you
Hard to tell over the internet what could be wrong, but when most little dogs act this way they have either had some sort of a central nervous system short (like a stroke) or they have injured their backs jumping off of the couch and are freaked out by the pain.
In either case if this continues through today I would have the vet look at him pronto.
He could have Cushing's or be developing a heart problem or kidney problem which can raise their blood pressure. Too many variables.
You really need to get him to the vets.
