how much time he would take to recover...even during this time he gets litle drowsy and with less energetic in mornings...

Answer
As long as he is getting the proper antibiotics and is showing improvement he should recover completely.

I have never heard of a dog getting tonsillitis so bad that he had wounds in his throat. He must have gotten septicemia from the infection- blood poisoning- to have it attack his legs.

He will be tired in the mornings and in general while fighting off this infection. Some medications can make them drowsy too. Just continue what your vet told you to do.

There is now way to know how long it will take him to recover. When he has energy and is eating and playing then you will know he is better.

I hope he recovers completely.
