Question

Mini Pin 1 1/2 year ol
I have a 1 1/2 year old Mini Pin. When I woke up this morning she was not her normal happy go lucky self. Not running, playing, just laying down. That`s not let her. She would whimper a little when I would pick her up. But nothing loud sounding, but it'd consistent. I came home for lunch and all she wanted to do was lay down. She trembles when she breathes, it like something inside is hurting her. What`s wrong with her??? I checked her stool and everthing was normal. Over the weekend Saturday 5/22/2010 we went to the dog beach. Everthing has been normal up to today. 5/25/2010. She has not ate anything for today, won`t even drink water. Oh, how I wish dogs could talk. I want to help her, but just don`t know how!!!! Please help me if you can

Answer
She is in pain. She is talking to you by laying down and whimpering. You need to get her to the vet and have her looked at. She could have injured herself at the dog park, or picked up a virus, or eating something on the ground that is making her sick.

You didn't mention vaccinations and dogs that are not vaccinated are left wide open to pick up many viruses and bacterial infections from being around other dogs.

Call you vet tomorrow and make her an appointment.
