hi,my puppy was playing in the park yesterday and had her leg accidently trodden on by a small child. There seems to be swelling around her joint although shes walking properly she limps when she runs and is not sitting properly ..what is your advice??

If the pup is walking OK, then just rest him for now.  If the swelling gets worse or if the pup can't walk on the leg, then have him checked by your vet. Some fractures in puppies will show up on an X-ray but they will not show much when the leg is palpated.
