Question
My cat was given away to a family friend and it's only been a few weeks and when I bought him he was very fat now they say he really skinny and you can see his bones and he won't eat and he has green stuff in his eyes! What would cause tiny.

Answer
Some cats really grieve when they go to even a great home. A cat was recently adopted by one of my clients who is a wonderful, gentle, caring man. She had been abandoned, then in a shelter for 5 months, eating well. 2 years old or so. Since she came to him she would not eat for a week. We gave flower essences, a homeopathic remedy that fit her, tried 20 fresh foods as well as canned and even the unhealthy dry food. After 7 days she started to eat and eats dry in the AM and cooked chicken in the PM. Still is not well - too few stools and urine, so we are still treating her with an animal intuitive and homeopathic remedies.

The family must go to an integrative veterinarian NOW or the cat may die. They can get liver problems from not eating. You could try rescue remedy from the health food store. Put one drop in a separate water bowl.  Put 4 drops in an ounce of water in a jar and give a few drops in every meal and every few hours in between. You cannot use it too often. It is totally safe. There is a possibility that the cat was begining to be ill and the stress of moving made the disease progress faster - again a reason to find a healer.

Get Reiki (you can do this even though the cat is with them - you must be so sad): REIKI:

Help them FIND A HEALER
I strongly recommend finding an integrative veterinarian with whom to work. This is a person trained in many different approaches, including using conventional drugs only when absolutely needed. Working with one can increase the chance that she can live a long and healthy life after starting to eat. There are good ones and great ones, and a few homeopathic veterinarians will consult by phone or email.
