Ask the Veterinarian/dog vomiting

Question
My dog has been vomiting everyday after he eats dinner. It is not always immediately but every night it happens. His vomiting is nothing but food and perhaps yard particles there is no blood, and there are no worms. He acts perfectly normal all day and even after he vomits. What could be causing this reaction. He did get stung by a bee about two weeks ago and this is when all of this started. But like I said he acts fine, he eats and drinks lots of water.

Answer
vomiting after eating is called regurgitation, especially when it's food coming back up. In other words he isn't really vomiting but bringing back up the food he just ate.

There are multiple reasons a dog will start reguring- some have to do with breed size, age, food intake etc. Some are medical issues and some are food sensitivity issues, some dogs don't like their food or it is irritating their stomach.

His bee sting wouldn't be causing food regurgitation unless his esophagus was irritated and the food sets off a trigger that starts him vomiting, but that is really far-fetched!

There are many mechanical issues with the throat, stomach etc that can cause this, so you really need to have your vet look over your dog and evaluate why this is happening all of a sudden.

I don't know what he eats but sometimes really bad food or certain ingredients in a food can cause this irritation as well. Dyes, etc can also start problems.

Call the vet and make an appointment for him. He may need an xray of his digestive system as well.

I hope you get it resolved soon- or his weight and health will be suffering soon.
