Question
Dear Jana,
I have a 5 years old female cockatiel. Recently she started laying egg, after the first egg being laid, it is the beginning of the
4th day now and she has not laid the 2nd one. I can see the 2nd egg due by observing her little tommy. Every year she lays one clutch of 4 eggs, seems very regular. she doesn't have a mate and she eat millet, fish bone, mixed seeds, whole grain bread,  carrots, spanish, green peas, etc. I am a little bit worried this could be a case of egg binding? Please help me! Many thanks and looking forward your answers. Regards, Ying

Answer
Unfortunately Ying I am not a bird expert. I would have to send you to the bird forum on here as there are experts there that can help you.

However, any local vet near you can answer this as well, as long as they do birds. It could be that her other eggs are not ready yet, but as I said, I don't know enough about birds to answer.

I do hope that she will be okay and that you find an answer soon.
