Question
My dog had an ohe about a month ago her stiches were removed and now she has developed bumps on her scar that look like blood clots/scar tissue. Should I be worried? What should I do

Answer
IF there was a reaction to the sutures placed under the skin, that is what you may be seeing. If there is a reaction, the body wants to lay down scar tissue and that's probably what you are feeling. I would take the dog back to the vet that did the surgery and let them see the incision.  Sometimes, the incision needs to be opened up to remove the suture that is causing the problem.  After 1 month, the incision through the abdominal wall should be healed, so it is just the skin incision that is probably the issue.  If there is an infection, then it needs to be treated.
