Ask the Veterinarian/My Cat Has some kind of abrasion

Question
The abrasion
The abrasion
I noticed my cat had some kind of lump under her fur, it collapsed to the touch as if it were full of air and there was a hole in it, the next day the fur over the abrasion had fallen out and she was over course licking it. Now she's bleeding from it and I imagine she's in pain. It doesn't look like a cut, but maybe something bit her. I know She needs to see a vet, but I don't have any money or a way there and my father refuses to help because it's not his problem. If there's anything I can do or anything could tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

Answer
My first thought is an abscess from a puncture wound from fighting or a spider bite.  If it was a pocket of fluid with blood in it, that was most likely pus.  You can clean the wound with a mixture of warm water and some povidone iodine, which is available at any pharmacy.
