Ask the Veterinarian/5 Month Old Husky Injury

Question
I had taken my 5 month old husky to an indoor dog park yesterday because of the weather and she was running and playing with another 7 month old husky when she swiped the wall and went down. Let off a very loud cry and yelp for a minute or so. She eventually got up on her own and squeaked a bit in pain. 5-8 hours later, she is still limping but we are able to bend, move and twice pretty easily. Just a little bit of muscular stiffness. I am a kinesiologiest and there seems to be soft tissue damage in her shoulder blade and/or armpit. She only has trouble elevating her arm however the top of the shoulder is where the impact was.

besides a little limping and a squeak here and there when she tries to move around too quickly, is there anything to suggest in terms of precautions.

I already called the emergency vet and they said best thing to do is bring her in if she's unable to walk tomorrow and or no appetite.

Answer
If there was a bruising, then the best treatment is tincture of time and rest.  She may benefit from some pain relievers that you can get from your vet.  (I recommend Previcox)  Obviously, if there is a persistant limp, then an X-ray may be indicated.  Your vet can examine the pup to see if there is an orthopedic injury.
