Ask the Veterinarian/cat's bad breath

Question
Hi Charlotte,

Last month my cat Vinnie had his teeth cleaned and one tooth extracted.  He's doing fine, but his breath still smells as bad as it did before the procedure.  What could be causing this?

Thanks,
Laura

Answer
Laura -

There are several reasons why your cat may have halitosis.  Your cat may have an upset stomach or may have other teeth that need to be examined. Consult with your veterinarian to determine why your kitty has smelly breath.
