Question
Please can you advise me why my cat is pooping blood? She went missing for about 2 weeks and now she's home again. Also she seems to be mowing alot?

Answer
Bright red blood can be from the colon being inflamed from something she has eaten. Certain foods, new foods, etc will irritate the colon and cause the vessels to bleed easily when the stool passes by them.

Get her on a normal diet and make sure it's a high quality food such as Science Diet Sensitive Stomach. That has worked wonders for many cats that have this problem.

If the blood is darker than that then she needs to see a vet right away. If she ate a rodent that had died from De-con she can get poisoned by it as well and will bleed to death if not treated.

She would be passing darker blood from higher up in the digestive tract and have bloodshot eyes and little specs that look like bruises on her inner ears, gums and anything pink as well.
THAT is a major emergency.

Meowing a lot could be because she is happy to be home, or she is in distress. You have to gauge it by her regular behavior. I wouldn't be letting her outside anymore however.
