Question
Is it bad that the fur around my dogs vagina has turned a rusty color and leaves stains on her bed. She is a 8 year old welch corgi and she has been spayed.

Answer
Dogs have a component in their saliva, tears etc that turns their hair red. All dogs have it. Some say it's iron in their saliva, but I am not sure anyone truly knows what it is.

It is quite normal. It is not normal for her to be leaving it all over so she could be having some urinary incontinence issues going on.

That would be her leaking some urine in her sleep. You need to have the vet check out her bladder in that case, because she could have bladder stones, or an infection going on.
