Question
I have an 8 yr. Old min pin who is very healthy, we've been to our vet twice this week. They're running blood work on him now because we just can't seem to find out why he's acting the way he does. Every morning he wakes up and he's lethargic, doesn't want to go for his am walk, and seems like something in his neck area is bothering him. He keeps his head low, his neck seems swollen, and other than coughing up his water whenever he drinks, he usually is fine. lately, this happens everyday and I worry that maybe something on the inside of his throat could be causing him to act this way. he eats normal, peed n poos normal, could it possibly be a tumor and would an exray show this. plz help

Answer
He should have had one in one of the last two visits if his neck is swollen.

Sounds like a gland or lymph node problem he is having, but I am not a vet and can only say that you should have an xray done depending on the findings of the blood work.

Are any of his other glands or lymphs swollen? Has the vet checked the ones on his back legs, and his chest area?

You will not really know much until you get the blood work back but I would insist on at least an xray if the blood work is inconclusive.

So instead of worrying at this point, just wait on the result.
