Question
yesterday my dog bite a can with sharp edges that coz her to hav several cuts on her gums.. till now she is bleeding..  i  have check her mouth nd saw some blood clots... ive already inspect her gums and i dont saw foreign objects in her mouth besides having several cuts on her gums...what should i give her to stop bleeding.. ive already applied pressure on the cuts but still bleeding <about 1 tbsp>. can i give her ice or cold water to help stop her bleeding? how many days will it take to heal her cut in her gums....

Answer
It's hard to heal deep cuts in the mouth without sutures in them. The very fact that the mouth is wet and she moves her tongue around is going to keep these bleeding.

You need to take her into your vets today and have these cuts looked at. They may need some sutures in them. Cold water is not going to make them stop bleeding.

Get her to the vets today and then you will know how long it will take. She may also need some antibiotics to keep it from getting infected. Remember that the mouth is FULL of bacteria.
With cuts in there that can become a nasty infection very fast.
