Question
Our puppy is a toy yorkie and is throwing up yellow clear mucus refuses to eat what can I do? He had her follow-up rabies shot and parvo earlier today she is 4months and she just came home two days ago

Answer
Well something has upset her stomach. It could have been a treat, or some table food. You must NOT give Yorkies any kind of human food and be very careful with treats.

They are very prone to upset stomachs and pancreatitis which is a condition where the pancreas becomes so inflamed it starts to digest itself. This can become fatal very quickly.

Keep your puppy on Science Diet Puppy Growth Small Bites and don't feed her any other kind of food. No tidbits, no food off of your plate and no plate licking.

For now you can give her a little half teaspoonful of pepto-bismol (the pink stuff) but if she is still vomiting tomorrow take her into the vets.

Don't feed her until tomorrow morning. Just leave ice cubes in the water bowl for her to drink. You can giver her some Gatoraide also because you don't want her to dehydrate and these little dogs can get dehydrated fast.

She might just be upset from the vet visit as well and feeling sore from the shots. Just give her 24 hours to feel better and if she doesn't then get her into the vets. Don't temp her to eat with treats or goodies.

If she vomits a lot call the vet today and take her back in there.
