Question
My lab is 8 years old and has a red bump that is on the front right paw. she has had this for about a week and keeps licking it. She is eat playing and seems healthy other than the red bump. I can squeeze it.  Could you tell me what this could be?

Answer
It could be something we call a lick granuloma.  Some dogs will just lick one spot because it feels so good to lick it.  This is an obsessive/compulsive disorder and is often treated with Prozac.  You should have your vet check it to see what it might be.
