Question
Hello,
I found a mass on my dogs hip. It sits on the skin not under it. A first it kinda looks like a pink fruit loop. It's round and has a dip in the middle like a fruit loop. I t also has a foul odor to it. I understand if you cannot help but anything is helpful.
Thank you for your time,
Alicea

Answer
This could be what we call an epidermal collarette.  This is often a bacterial infection and it may be there for a variety of reasons. It could also be a cyst of some kind that has opened.  You should let your vet look at the lesions and make a diagnosis for you. If it is a bacterial infection, then antibiotics may be needed.
