My dog was just groomed and 3 days later found red rash on back to tip of tail. Vet shaved areas, prescribed Ceph, pred and medicated shampoo 2X wk. My dog had NO itchiness, scratching, licking, (not even paws)or chewing. Rash didn't seem to bother her. Vet dx'ed 'pollen allergy'. I wasn't convinced as groomer's bathing area was not sanitary. As not satisfied, contacted a Derma Vet who dx'ed my dog with: "post grooming folliculitis" ... a bacterial infection due to 'unsanitary' shampoo used. Hope this helps.
