Ask the Veterinarian/dog

Hello. I have a clumber or Springer spaniel who is about 11 years old. Not sure exactly what type hair is as we got him from our local humane society when he was about a year old. For the past few days he has been extremely lethargic and is limping on his back leg. When I touch his leg, he doesn't whimper. Last night he had massive diarrhea. For the past week or so, he has had to go out and pee about every two hours, which is not normal for him. Nothing has changed in his diet or you have any ideas what might be causing this?

No one can tell what this is without a vet looking him over. Diarrhea can be from pain.
He might be limping because his bladder hurts.

Dogs don't always show pain where the problem is. It could be his knee, his spine, his bladder, his entire digestive system.

Many dogs lose control of their rear legs, for example, when they actually have a heart condition. So it's important to get him into the vet, especially at his age, and have him looked at as soon as possible.

11 yr old dogs don't have the same reserve as a 5 year old might. So please make him an appointment at the vets for Monday.
