Question
I have a small mix breed Maltese / shish!!
She has a on going blaster problems she is on Medi Cal Urinary so
she has had 3 operations for stones  . Are Vet gives the dog Antibiotics shot that last 7 day .
Now the Vet is a way spring brake , live on a Island
Can I give the Dog( Part) of my capsule Nitrofurantoin 100mg to hold her tell tomorrow maybe a 1/4 of that

I would not recommend doing anything like changing the antibiotic without your vet prescribing it.  Nitrofurantoin has been used in dogs for bacterial that are susceptible to it.  The dosage for dogs and cats is 4.4 mg/kg orally three times a day for 410 days.
