Question
Hello,
I am confused in what measurement to follow in dosage of fish oil to give my 50lb dog.
The bottle says on front-
Fish oil-1000mg per softgel,
300mg Omega-3

I am giving her one softgel a day.
What measurement do I go by for dog lb to mg dosage, the 1000mg per softgel or the 300mg Omega-3?
Or if you can just tell me approx. dosage of this fish oil is adequate for a 50lb dog.

Answer
My rule of thumb is to use a 1000mg cap for 20 pounds once daily. So for your dog it would be 2-3 capsules per day. Here is a dosing chart you might find useful.
