Question
Hello doctor I have bought a 7 week old shih tzu puppy recently.but 4 days later he started having loose motions with mucus but no vomiting. Got very lathargic and does not eat anything. I rushed him to the hospital. He has been given several injections and now thankfully his motions r nt occurring BT still he is not eating anything and is always lazy. What is the possible cause of this disease and what is the disease ?

Answer
Dear Akshay,
From the symptoms,it looks like your pup had an enteritis caused by bacteria or other micro organisms. The treatment would have been antibacterial/antibiotics.Definitely it would take another week for your pup to acquire normal appetite.Meanwhile see that your pup is healthy even-though lazy.If otherwise seek veterinary aid as it requires supplements.
You may try NUTROLIN-B DRY SYRUP ,available in all medical stores. This would enhance the healing process.
regards
