Question
please tell me if an infected pad is serious as i cannot get into her vet for a couple of days...thanks

Answer
An infected pad usually indicates something stuck in the paw.  If there is, it will need to be removed.  In the meantime, soak the paw in warmed dilute iodine solution (available at any drug store) twice a day for 10 minutes.  Get the dog to the vet as soon as possible.
