Question
My cat is 10.  All of her life she has had itchy ears.  She itches them until she cries.  There is a wax colored debris that comes out of her ears that looks like  seasame seeds.  i've had her to different vets and she was treated for ear mites several times.  The last vet gave me some ear wash stuff which she     d.
She also sheds horribly and has dandruff.  I would love to hear any advice you could give.  Thank you!

Answer
If she has skin allergies, that often makes a cat's ear produce more wax.  There may also be a deeper problem with a middle ear infection.  For the skin, ask the vet if your cat can have a shot of DepoMedrol to see if it helps.  If the ears are just waxy, but not bothering the cat, I would recommend leaving them alone.
