I'm interested in adopting a puppy but it has a "possible mange condtion".  I think this has to do with bugs in the skin?  Could you elaborate?

There are 2 types of mange.  One involves the mite called DEMODEX.  This is also known as "red mange" and is very difficult to deal with.  The other type of mange is caused by the mite called SARCOPTES.  This is also known as the "mad itch" because it cause such intense itching.  This is the type of mange that is transmissible to people.  However, this type of mange is the easier of the two to treat.
