Question
Hi me again. went to Abilene.  Had tumor removed from Mac's left ear again. think surgery was botched this time. Vet said he hit tumor blood supply and had to stop. This was in July. Bleeding has been ongoing, slowing but not stopping. Been through Panlog, Malotic and Baytril in ear.  Three different kinds of oral antibiotics. Vet said this week looking better but infection still bad.  Think if I could something that would DRY the inside of the ear he might get better.  If not we are going to have to have an ablation.  Can you help me one more time? Thanks Mickey Mathis

Answer
Without really getting in and seeing what is actually going on, it would be hard for me to be very specific.  You might ask the vet to get you some tris-EDTA ear wash to clean out the debris and to give the dog high doses of steroids to reduce the inflammation and the secretions in the ear.  Sometimes I laser out the inside of the ear canals to get them to heal.  The ear may require surgery if medicines are not helping.
