Question
My dog has some sort of problem within her nose. She will be going in for her second surgery in 4 month period. They are baffled as the first time they did the surgery and removed the mass and it grew back the very next month. They tried clyndamycin and steriods and that worked for short time. Then they switched to another med and its worse than ever:( Shes scheduled for another surgery April 11th.I could email a photo if need be of this mass. But its baffling the vets here as well as us.They are saying they wont operate again on this mass as rapidly as it grows they wont do the surgery this often. So the next option is putting her to sleep after this.Id hate to lose a family member for something someone might know how to treat.Any help would be appreciated. p.s. the mass takes up entire nasal passage on left side and has drainage from it as well from time to time.

Answer
If they operate again, they need to get a sample to send to a pathologist to see what this mass is.  I have a laser and I use it in the nose through an endoscope to treat some nasal tumors.  If your vet is not qualified to do nasal surgery, you may need to have the dog looked at by a surgery specialist in your area.
