Ask the Veterinarian/Mycodex Pearlescent Shampoo

Question
Is this a good product for 5# poodles who bite a lot - I'm presuming because of sensitive skin since she's white? Does not have fleas because I use Frontline faithfully, but bites as tho she does have fleas.  Would this product strip off the Frontline?

Thanks,
Debbie Snyder

Answer
The shampoo is fine and it will only remove the Frontline on the surface oils. Frontline actually concentrates in the deeper skin glands, so if you bathe frequently, it will replenish the skin as the glands produce the oils.  This can last for up to 45 days.
