Ask the Veterinarian/Poisoning of cat?

Question
My cat is making really different noises before throwing up a clear yet foamy looking substance. He seems to be fine but he is doing this quite often and I am not sure what to do or even if he ate something he wasn't suppost to. Please help and let me know what I can do to help him.

Answer
Cats can voluntarily vomit.  They do make quite a bit of noise when they vomit, so that would be expected.  If the cat is keeping food down, but throws up foam or mucus, then there are medications that might help stop these secretions and to move this material through the stomach.  Ask your vet about this.  If the cat is throwing up food, that is different and the cat needs to be examined by the vet.
