A Pyr rescued from puppy mill has experienced loss of hair and bald sports only on rear half of body. Hair does not appear to be growing back. He is currently being treated for an ear infection.  He is outgoing and friendly despite his background so I wasn't thinking stress.  What can we try to help him look good so he can be adopted?

Check and treat for parasites, both intestinal parasites and skin parasites.  Get him on a good nutritional plane and add Omega3 fatty acids to the food.  If there is permanent damage to the hair follicles, then there will not be any regrowth of hair in that area. A vet can help you with this puppy to get him back to normal.
