Ask the Veterinarian/Sick Cat

Question
My cat Indo recently became an outdoor/indoor cat. The past day he's been acting lethargic, won't get up to eat or drink, and won't get up from the spot he's been in all day. I'm not sure of what to do. He doesn't seem depressed, or in pain. Maybe you could offer an explanation of some sort. Thank you so much.
Best Regards,
Tiffany Cottey

Answer
He may have gotten into a fight and is running fever.  Cats with fever won't eat or drink. Often when cats go outside this time of year, they can get into it with other cats outside or they get a virus disease that causes fever.  HAve your vet check the cat out to see what is going on.
