Question
My cat has fleas so we washed her and put a flea collar on her, but now I noticed that an sore which is red and bloody is around her neck and also by her mouth. I took the collar off, what else should I do?

Thanks!

Answer
The cat probably scratched at the collar and made the neck bleed.  Removing the collar is the right thing to do.  I would recommend getting something called Advantage from a vet for flea control.  It is a liquid that you put on the skin over the neck and it will kill fleas for a month.
