Question
What sort of diet do you feel is best for dogs' skin, and do you have any links supporting your position?

Answer
If the dog is allergic to his food, then a single source protein food that your dog has never been exposed to can be bought from your vet. They are composed of deer meat, duck, kangaroo meat, or even fish.  Give the diet for a minimum of 8 weeks without giving the dog any other protein source.  They are called hypoallergenic diets.  If a store brand food says that it is for skin, it may cojntain increased levdels of omega 3 fatty acids, which after a month or so will help the skin decrease itching.
