Do you know of any side effects with dogs taking Soloxine?

My dog tested positive for Hyperthyroid and the vet wants to prescribe Soloxine.  I was reading a couple things on that internet about peoples dogs having problems with there vison, or breathing after being put on Soloxine.

Please let me know your background on Soloxine and possible side affects.

First, your dog is HYPOthyroid.  That means that the thyroid hormone level is low.  In that case, Soloxine replaces the thyroid hormones. There are very few side effects for this drug in dogs. In 27 years of prescribing it to hundreds of hypothyroid dogs, I can't say tht I have ever seen a side effect.
